This late 50's Bear Kodiak is the precursor to the well known '59 Kodiak. Before the larger, fuller handles of the 1960s, the Kodiak recurves featured a longbow-like profile with a slim, low-wrist grip, shallow shelf, and thin limbs with an aggressive reflex at the ends.
The bow is moderately well used, but in good condition for its age. The original finish is still fully intact without checking or chipping, and there are no notable scratches or dings to be found. The glass does show some stress from age and use that is typical with the 1950s era of fiberglass.
The bow comes with a new Flemish twist string with a nock point applied. Please be aware that while the bow is functional, due to its vintage and a twist to the upper limb, it is more of a collection piece than a primary piece of equipment.
