When looking for a compact recurve, the Samick Volcano might be just right if the Stingray's forward handle is too extreme. A rich cut of Merbau accents the front half of the handle, which has a moderate cutout and is sized for medium to large hands. The limbs are a hard maple veneer over a durable red glass core, and bend evenly throughout their length for a relatively smooth draw. When properly tuned, it provides little shock or twang while shooting. Tips have been reinforced with three layers of phenolic to ensure Fast Flight capability.
