Red Elm and glass core limbs, Yellow heart/Ash riser
The Barbarian is a prototype longbow from Medieval Archery. The handle is made from yellow heart with a stripe of ash, layered with black and red fiberglass laminations. Its limbs are made from three laminations of red elm with a red fiberglass core, with tips made from ash and phenolic, making it Fast Flight capable. The finish is a soft matte on the limbs and satin on the riser, although there are a few minor cosmetic nicks in the finish along the edges in a few areas.
This bow is mismarked at 68"/50# and is actually 66.5" and approximately 45# @ 28". Due to its status as a prototype it is considered a
manufacturer's second, but is still fully functional.
